This scientific article examines the methods of forming other parts of speech from imitative words in the Karakalpak and English languages through conversion and affixation. The main objective of the research is to identify the similarities and differences in the morphological structures of both languages when creating new parts of speech from imitative words. To achieve this goal, the study employs a comparative-typological approach, allowing for a systematic analysis of the similarities and differences in the word-formation systems of English and Karakalpak. Special attention is given to how the processes of affixation and conversion alter the grammatical features of imitative words, providing insight into the general mechanisms of language evolution and structural development. By examining these trends, the study paves the way for a deeper understanding of how universal and language-specific factors influence the emergence and development of imitative words in each language.
